Private Liquidity and Bespoke Structures

Liquidity against what you already own, arranged without selling it and without a public process.

The solution

Private liquidity is capital raised against assets or positions a client wishes to keep. It may sit against a single holding, a group of assets, or a company or trust that owns them.

Where no standard product fits, we structure one. That can mean combining security from more than one asset class, or arranging a facility through a holding company, a trust or an SPV.

Who it suits

  • Family offices holding wealth across several entities
  • Entrepreneurs before and after an exit
  • International clients with UK assets
  • Advisers acting for any of them

Discretion is part of the structure.

Private liquidity is arranged quietly, against assets you already hold. Lenders are approached selectively, and the facility is built around your position rather than a public process.

Typical arrangements

How this is used in practice.

Illustrative and anonymised. Each case is structured on its own facts.

Liquidity ahead of a sale

An owner expects an exit within the year and needs capital now for a separate opportunity. A facility is arranged against assets already held, so neither the business nor the portfolio is disturbed.

A multi-asset position

A family holds property, a collection and a securities portfolio across different entities. One facility is structured against a defined combination, rather than three separate conversations.

Capital across borders

A client based overseas holds UK property and needs sterling liquidity. We introduce lenders comfortable with the jurisdiction and the ownership structure.

What lenders consider

  • Quality and liquidity of the underlying assets
  • Clarity of ownership and the structure that holds them
  • Source of funds and the borrower’s wider position
  • The repayment or exit route
  • Jurisdiction and enforceability of security
